Since you have already expressed your #mind on the issues of #stupid-individualism I think it would be interesting to #explore specific-case #benefits of it, based on cases which had #positive #outcome . Got 11 rolls developed out in Kansas. One, the light leaks were so bad none of the pics came out. The processor gave me $7 in coupons (my cost in developing) to use next time, even though it wasn't their fault. Isn't that sweet?
It was a folding Kodak from the fourties. Passed my light leak test (flashlight in the dark bathroom), so dunno where the problem is.

Yesterday, I was scanning photos taken with my Minolta XD7. I love this process - there were some shots I didn’t even remember taking. Unfortunately, the issue with light leaks has returned. I’ve already replaced all the seals. Out of 73 photos, about 5 have this flaw. I have no idea why this is happening 🙁.

Psyched to shoot my first roll of large format film on my “new” camera from 1917-ish: a Kodak “No. 2 Folding Autographic Brownie” (sez so, right on the handle). Only 8 pics/ roll, cuz they’re like 4 inches! Shooting Ilford 400 speed B&W. Will find a way to use the timed shutter: release once to open, release again to close.

To be clear, what the mind sees, what you see, is subjective. Because of the characteristics of #film or #sensor, none of which is like the eye-brain connection, photographs are not absolute reality. The MuFo on Juzefitow Street offers a unique behind-the-scenes look at the work of restorers, a peek into the #darkroom or how old #photographs are digitised. They have a huge collection of prints, #negatives and old photographic equipment.I highly recommend it!
