Looking at today's weather forecast, it is looking unlikely that we will be able to fully appreciate the start of the lighter evenings in NE England.
Yes, as from today the sun sun will be setting later, a whole minute later in fact than yesterday.
Not enough to be noticeable, especially with overcast skies, but if like me you're not enamored by the dark evenings at this time of the year, it's a step in the right direction.
And for those wanting to see the return to lighter mornings, you will have your wish granted on 31 December!
