I have a lighthearted confession to make tonight.

I didn’t realize until recently that nectarines were simply a type of peach that doesn’t have a fuzzy skin on them.

My assumption was that they were a different type of stone fruit altogether.

Did you all know they were a type of peach?

Aujourd’hui j’ai appris que brugnon et nectarine c’était pareil. 😅

Au XIXe on appelait brugnons des pêches lisses et nectarines celles qui avaient le noyau qui se détachait.

Bon, après le débat #brugnon / #nectarine d'hier, j'ai appris plein de choses intéressantes :
- le brugnon est une pêche à la peau lisse
- le brugnon pousse sur un pêcher
- il peut y avoir sur un même arbre pêches et brugnons
- le brugnon et la nectarine, c'est pareil, juste nectarine est le terme employé partout dans le monde sauf en France, où on dit brugnon
- enfin à l'origine, car maintenant, on dit nectarine
- mais quand même, le brugnon a son noyau qui adhère à la chair, pas la nectarine

en conclusion : ça change pas ma vie, j'en mange de toute façon rarement car on n'en trouve rarement qui poussent en France. et j'achète de fruits espagnols.

Enfin une graine de #nectarine ou #brugnon que j'ai récupéré. Je l'ai mis 1 semaine dans une coupelle superposé sur un verre d'eau mais j'ai peur qu'elle ait pourri. J'ai enlevé le verre et change l'eau. On verra bien
