Found while re-sorting my old Warhammer collection. The Necron that came along with a White Dwarf.
At some point i might get around to painting it. It's only been a couple decades. -
My second unit of Necron Warriors is going so much better... :neocat_owo: (If this first model is anything to go by...)
I'm still not great at dry-brushing, and I messed up some dry brushing and smearing it with some paint I didn't realise I got on my hands, but it's a significant improvement!
Switching to a spray primer (for most of the models) and a wet pallet (in the bottom of the picture :blobcatlul:) probably helped, but I feel like I took a much more methodical approach... the tufts of Mordian Grass are a fun addition as well! :blobcatlul: I'm looking forward to doing the rest of the unit...

Necron Deathmark.
I wanted to represent them stepping through from the hidden dimension.
For the portal I used some clear plastic, cut into a wibbly shape, so that it is visible but not (like a heat haze).I also painted half of the mini' dark and half "in light", again, to represent stepping from the hidden dimension. The cut-off matches the position of the "portal".
