Here in North Carolina there were organized “Moral Mondays” protests which really worked in taking control of the narrative and calling out the shady crap the #ncga was doing.We need a renewed version of those.

While I'm not going to complain about the pay raise, notably the #NCGA can't even pass a simple pay raise without making a mess of it.
I'm sure this will be a HR headache that causes confusion for years to come.

This is a nice way of saying "The jackasses in the legislature set their bigotry aside when they spotted an incentive, and expanded Medicaid to cover North Carolinians of color, low-income, and Hispanic folks, the people they hate the most."
I'm all for term limits but Roy Cooper is an exception to the rule. His leadership is impressive given the cesspit in the General Assembly, and ALL THE OTHER TINGS.

It is not an overstatement to say the #NCGA is creating a secret police force not subject to any other over site for themselves. Once again NORTH CAROLINA IS NOT A DEMOCRACY.

Of its 12 appointed members, the board will include two women, roughly 17% and the same as the board’s previous makeup, and two members of color, one fewer than the previous board. According to UNC System enrollment data for the spring 2023 semester, the UNC undergraduate population was more than 60% female and almost 45% non-white."
They are also all Republican activists or donors.

It's no accident that NC is hemorrhaging good public school teachers. In fact, it's by design. Republicans have a supermajority in both #NCGA chambers.

So today for the first time in 15.5 years of working in the #UNC System, I received a "Legislative Data Request." The #NCGA wants info about any courses or workshops I've taught that include any material about "Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Accessibility." This will not end well. #NCPol #NCed
