I am curious to see how this trackpad, which is only 40 mm would compare with the one on the coming #NayaCreate keyboard, which will be about 70 mm (assuming it gets released in Late ‘24 early ‘25)

I admit I splurged on that Kickstarter. We’ll see if it was worth it

Yeah, they’ve committed to code-dump if the company fails, so nobody’s left with bricks

But they are writing the code until then. And it does look like pretty interesting stuff:

It’s the Golden Age of ergonomic #MechanicalKeyboards with dozens of companies making them

And there’s really no standards and not much data on how to find which different #ergonomics will work for each person

Probably a split board with tenting above 25° or so might be two key features

A lot of boards don’t tent that high, but I’m pretty sure it’s one of the few features that have actually been studied

I’ve got two #Dygma boards and am waiting for a #NayaCreate

That would be frustrating

#Dygma hasn’t got the online swap-shop the #Moonlander people have, but it’s pretty easy to save and share the files with your layouts

It’s a golden age of ergo keyboards, with new ones appearing almost weekly it seems

Not all have much new or worthwhile to offer, but it’s definitely interesting

#Trackpoints though are very uncommon. That’s going to be a hard feature to shop for

It’s pretty much something a few people mod themselves, or the #UltimateHackersKeyboard I think

I’m looking at “mod” being used confusingly for modification and module on the discord for the #NayaCreate keyboard right now

Note that the #NAYACreate people very wisely took a pole, and by an 85% margin were urged to fix the B key and bottom row of their (probably) $600 #MechanicalKeyboard

And they did!

Latest quote from them: “It's high up on the marketing teams' priority list to make sure we do not only attract the ‘unusual B key’ audience”
