Tomorrow (Fri 2026-05-15) there will be a kind of charity-ride here on Naxos. At 10:00 from the harbour in town cycling up to Apeiranthos.
My legs are a bit tired, I was planning a rest day, but I'll go. I'm really curious who will show up and take part. If I understand the announcement correctly, it will be a very leisurely pace. Some friends will be there too.

#GutenMorgen #GoodMorning aus dem regnerischen #Naxos. Der (diesen Winter etwas regelmässigere) Regen tut der Insel gut, die ganze #Insel ist grün -- ganz anders als es unsere Sommerbesucher kennen. Unsere Wasserspeicher sind allerdings noch bei weitem nicht voll.
Ich werde ein paar Stunden investieren, um die #SQLAlchemy -Dokumentation zu lesen, wenigstens kann ich dabei zwischendurch durchs Fenster auf die grün-graue Landschaft schauen. Nachmittags will ich dann wieder etwas zeichnen.

Die griechische Küstenwache rettete am Montag 77 Menschen von einem Segelboot, das zwischen #Amorgos und #Astypalaia in Seenot geraten war. Sie wurden von Hellenic Coastguard⚓🇬🇷 in den Hafen von #Naxos gebracht.
Wir sind froh, dass Hellenic Coastguard diesmal schnell genug reagiert hat. Wie der Schiffbruch vor #Pylos im letzten Jahr gezeigt hat, sieht die Realität für fliehende Menschen oft anders - und damit tödlich - aus.

🇬🇷 Zwischen #Amorgos und #Astypalea wurden von einem Segelboot 77 Menschen gerettet. Sie hatten zuvor über den Notruf 112 um Hilfe gebeten. Nach Angaben von Hellenic Coast Guard werden die Geretteten nach #Naxos gebracht.
