"This past summer, I watched most of Studio Ghibli’s films. The studio or it’s main creative force, #HayaoMiyazaki, are often mentioned as major influences on the solarpunk genre. It’s not a coincidence that one of their composers did the music for the solarpunk-inspired yogurt ad. Despite how connected Studio Ghibli seems to be to solarpunk, I found that only two of their 20+ movies have substantial solarpunk imagery or worldbuilding. Even so, it’s clear that these films were highly influential even if they’re weren’t solarpunk films. The influence comes from Studio Ghibli’s constant themes of environmentalism, humanism, community, anti-authoritarianism, and pacifism."

Dzisiejszy wieczór minął pod znakiem seansu kinowego Nausicaä z Doliny Wiatru. Uwielbiam twórczość studia #Ghibli ale przyznam, że ten tytuł oglądałem po raz pierwszy. Dobrze spędzony czas, szczególnie, że kocham te ręcznie rysowane kadry ♥️ Świetnie, że wreszcie w kinach można obejrzeć takie klasyki.

Mam tylko jedną uwagę – tłumaczenie było naprawdę kiepskie. Sporo tekstów w ogóle nie miało sensu 😔

Może już zauważyliście, że mam fioła na punkcie aktorów głosowych. No to fun fact – głos Obaba z Nausicaä to nie kto inny jak Hisako Kyoda. Wiecie kogo jeszcze owa Pani grała? Otóż Tuskur, babcię Eruruu i Aruruu w #Utawarwrumono #PreludeToTheFallen 😂

I just realized something.
In the Chika Ending of Kaguya-sama Chika picks up a bug from the curtain and sends it flying saying 森をお帰り (mori wo okaeri) meaning "return to the forest".
This is probably a reference to Nausicaä of the Valley of the Wind where Nausicaä tames an Ohmu and sends it back to the forest with these words.
Maybe I'm just pointing out the obvious but here's your very random anime fun fact of the day. You're welcome.
