  11. Okay, tears poured out of my face when I arrived at Princess Park. My soul missed those trees.

    This is one of my fave forests in North Van and I’m grateful I finally made it back there.

    I hadn’t been there for more than 2 years when I was still using a walker while recovering from multiple foot surgeries. My soul needed those trees.

  13. Today was a good day. I call Saturday “self care Saturday” because it is my therapy day and a time for contemplation, and, when the weather allows, being in nature. Lately I have been noticing how enjoyable food can be. I had scones today that were absolutely out of this world. Unfortunately, something did not agree with me and I am feeling rather unwell now.

  16. I had a lovely conversation in the forest with a couple I had never met before. They asked about my bandaged finger and we talked about the beauty of nature, mobility issues (the woman had a cane), the horrible realities in the world, and the sadness of dementia.

    We were at the duck pond that I love visiting and it ended up feeling like a group therapy session so I thanked them both. Hope I bump into them again.
