  1. This beautiful dandelion is a crucial first food source for emerging bees, packed with protein rich pollen and energy boosting nectar.

    Don't mow them down!

Before you mow, remember that what looks like a weed to you is a vital fuel station for our essential #pollinators. Let the #dandelions #bloom and save the bees. 🌱🐝

  6. Auf einem herbstlichen Spaziergang durch #Fürth habe ich diese Szene gefunden. Da fehlt fast nur noch ein inspirativer Spruch zu Resilienz drauf. 😅

  7. Some photos of an unfortunate and uncommon stray Yellow-breasted Chat in Verizon Plaza, NYC, yesterday. I say unfortunate because migrating birds have not evolved to deal with canyons of glass and steel and bright city lights at night. So, strays find their way into these small, manicured, minimally green oases which do not offer an adequate food supply and are often subject to pesticide use (we gave the birds berries, not without its own problems). They may never find their way out. Verizon is not particularly interested in providing minimally optimal habitat for migrants to recharge their batteries to continue their migration. Some urban green spaces are more favorable. Chats inhabit shrubby areas, nesting in the northern US and wintering down through Central America, but are not common in the northeast.

  8. Captivating Crossbills. I walk at a reservoir near us as often as possible. There's lots of wonderful wildlife and for me, beautiful Crossbills, sometimes 🥰
The (yellowish) female manoeuvres that cone up the branches until she can really get into it. #bird #birds #BirdPhotogaphy #nature #naturephotogaphy #scottishwildife #scotland #angusglens #crossbill

  9. I love ‘An Awesome Wave’ by Alt-J, it’s one of my all-time favourite albums, it always soothes my mind 🧘🏼‍♀️
I also really like the album art and the story behind it (esa.int/Applications/Observing) - a reminder that the transience of nature is both beautiful and devastating 🍃🌀 #Music #MondayMusings #naturephotogaphy

  10. Wind over the grasses on the dunes at Michigan’s Port Crescent State Park and Dark Sky Preserve on Sunday. My wife and I had the whole place to ourselves — no surprise on a chilly December day. The solitude was splendid.
