This species doesn't have a common name, but with a scientific name like Phidippus arizonensis, I usually call her an Arizona Jumping Spider. Makes sense right? Well, they aren't found in Arizona. It was originally described in 1888 and collected from the "Arizona Territory." Recently, a new type specimen was collected from Santa Ana Wildlife Refuge. Their range is Texas, New Mexico, and Mexico. Maybe that is why that common name never became official.
