“Evening Aspens” — Soft light on colorful autumn aspen groves, Eastern Sierra.
This was my final aspen photograph of the day. These trees grow in what feels like high desert terrain along the eastern slopes of the Sierra Nevada. This is essentially “sage brush country,” though as the elevation rises there are increasing numbers of conifers. Being east of the crest of the range, the area falls into evening shadows well before actual sunset.

Out in the wind and rain for our walk in the woods. We do four miles every day after a mornings work weekdays.
Sometimes we get some good shots, like today, but sometimes not. It is still worth it though 🙂 especially when you find something you haven't seen before. -
