By night, I am forest gardener. By day, I am Biodiversity Assistant with Ceredigion Nature Partnership. Had the most amazing Friday, first I helped put up some Otter holts. Then visited partner who has a forest garden field that will be the site of the grassland ID workshop for a local school. And then a 12 acre property, looking for help with managing pasture for wildlife.

I'm afraid to tell you that I actually have the best job in the world, because I get to go to #meadows like this beautiful place at Llanerchaeron, a National Trust property near Aberaeron, Ceredigion.

Smooth Sheepsbit (Jasione laevis)? at Parc Natur Penglais in #Aberystwyth, #Cymru.
Went to #NatureServiceWales online intro, director talking about causes of #ClimateEmergency & #NatureEmergency and I really, really wanted to ask "Is it okay to talk about #capitalism as the cause?"
I didn't but I'm going to.

A #WoodMeadow is way to productively manage land with huge biodiversity gains.
Help me get to the 14th European Conference on #Ecological #Restoration so I can research how to bring #sustainable #WoodMeadows to #Cymru #Wales https://sere2024.org/

Valerian (Valeriana officinalis). Strongly perfurmed, never sure I like it, but that's not important. Another one that self seeds profusely

Everything is humming with life in the woods, feels like first warm day of the year. Ash sapling.
