The impressive thing is not that we "are coming together" in cases of natural phenomena (earthquakes, pandemics, storms etc.), but how quickly we are getting back to "normal" afterwards. Without even asking basic questions on how and why such an event disrupts our hierarchies of important and unimportant things.
