Vagina steaming is a hot newly revived alternative medicine practice in which a person with a vagina squats over steaming water. The practice is also called vaginal steaming, v-steaming, vaginal steam baths, yoni steaming, chai yok (차욕), or bajos.

Vagina steaming supporters, who include noted #pseudoscience promoters #NaturalNews and Gwyneth Paltrow, claim that it has numerous benefits. Vagina steaming is supposed to "cleanse" the vagina, increase #fertility, treat bad periods, and remove "toxins". There is no scientific evidence for any of these claims. Fully 14 of the 16 medical professionals who have commented on the practice say that vagina steaming is ineffective, or possibly harmful. In short, it is patent #bullshit.

However, vagina steaming may genuinely upset that little man in the boat.

NaturalNews.com and its sister sites are run by Michael Allen "Mike" Adams, B.S. (1969 or 1967–) (self-labeled "The Health Ranger") which promotes alternative medicine and related conspiracy theories. The site particularly specializes in vaccine denial and the alleged vaccines-autism link, AIDS/HIV #denialism, #quack cancer treatments, and conspiracy theories about "Big Pharma". If there's an alternative medicine or alternative medical treatment out there, you can guarantee that #NaturalNews has one article singing its praises to the sky and one more bashing the stupid "skeptics". A lot of the website's growth is due to its exposure on #Facebook, where it had over 3.5 million followers until it was banned (not for any of its content, mind you, but because it was violating Facebook's policy on #spamming).

Natural News isn't a major presence on the Fediverse that I've seen. There is a substantial representation (including a dedicated pod) on Diaspora, unfortunately, which continues to post disinformation and propaganda.

(Control is greatly hampered by the lack of a ready pod-level blocking capability on Diaspora, as well as a somewhat stronger "free speech" tradition, one that seems increasingly misplaced.)

That said, knowledge and preparation are helpful.

Facebook bans health and conspiracy site Natural News (2019)

https://arstechnica.com/science/2019/06/natural-news-hawker-of-vitamins-and-far-right-conspiracies-banned-from-facebook/

Facebook on Sunday removed the prominent health and conspiracy site Natural News from its platform and banned its incendiary founder from posting content.
In an email to Ars, a spokesperson for Facebook confirmed the removal and said only that it was over “violating our policies against spam.” Under those policies, Facebook “do[es] not allow people to use misleading or inaccurate information to collect likes, followers, or shares.” More specifically, it prohibits sites that “encourage likes, shares, or clicks under false pretenses,” and those that “artificially increase distribution for financial gain,” among other things.

Wikipedia on disinformation / propaganda site Natural News

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Natural_News

Natural News (formerly NewsTarget, which is now a separate sister site) is a far-right, anti-vaccination conspiracy theory and fake news website known for promoting alternative medicine, pseudoscience, and far-right extremism.[1][2][3][4]
The site’s founder, Michael Allen “Mike” Adams, gained attention after posting a blog entry implying a call for violence against proponents of GMO foods, and then allegedly creating another website with a list of names of alleged supporters. He has been accused of using “pseudoscience to sell his lies”.[5] Adams has described vaccines as “medical child abuse”.[6]
