Some pictures from my allotment, taken yesterday. It all looks very colourful, despite the extreme heat we just had and the lack of rain. There are also many different bees, butterflies and other pollinators out and about every day and it is also nice seeing all the other wildlife which comes to my allotment. #garden #allotment #flowers #naturalistic

📚 Just discovered Natural #Neuroscience by Nachum Ulanovsky — a thoughtful call for studying #brains in freely moving, #naturalistic conditions. While controlled experiments remain essential, I find this ecologically grounded approach both timely and inspiring. Haven’t read the #book yet, but it’s high on my list. It has some really nice moments throughout, including an unexpected and unique style of #humor that combines and contrasts with more #naturalistic parts, all interspersed with the #fantastical and #surreal.

Overall, I found it very appealing and quite deeply moving, imperfect and silly as it is.

Found this simple drawing I drew many years ago. Have always been interested in #naturalistic style since the get-go. I remember drawing this while I was supervising my students doing their exams in the classroom.
I drew to kill time and enjoy myself. That is what kind of a teacher I was. Lol
Now I wonder how many of my students cheated that day.. 🤔

We seriously have a problem with marketing. #Natural doesn't mean is good (or bad) inherently. This is a #naturalistic #fallacy. Poison is bad and can be either natural or artificial. Vaccines are artificial and good. Apples are natural and good.
