Food is supposed to be free. Humans destroy the ecosystem and make food expensive.

#potato is a perennial plant that grows by itself. It multiplies every year. You can harvest some and leave some in the ground and they will over-winter in zone 8 naturally.

Your only enemies are poor soil as a result of human agriculture and rodents that always follow unnatural farmers.

I don't need to plant potatoes any more. They grow by themselves.

Is reality chaotic or filled with patterns?

Early to mid spring is the best season for #dandelions, elephant garlic green, French sorel, and lovage. All of them are perennials that come back year after year. Everything is free. You only need to see the pattern of nature.

No watering, no cost. I get them for free everyday.

Patterns of nature are not #mathematical. They are dynamic relations that are observed but not reproduced.

This is how easy it is to multiply your #Gojiberry and #currant plants. For Goji berry, you just cut a branch from the mother plant, eat the leaves and root the stem in water. In a couple of weeks, it will start to root. Prepare for a one gallon pot of compost. Put the rooted stem into the compost and water it. Then put it in a good shade in the hot dry summer. Currant is the same. Cut some branches and put them into water and repeat the above process. #permaculture #naturalfarming #foodforest

Hidden Lotus Herbs is getting ready to move to our new #farm site and really ramp up our operations!

For some backstory,
I was the recipient of a fund from @coop to start a worker-owned #cooperative and decided to make it an herbal apothecary!

We've been operational for around six months and are now starting our regenerative agroecological farm and increasing the capacity of our free clinic.

However, the #renewableenergy systems we're building are more expensive than we budgeted for, and we could use some help getting the farm and clinic going financially.

We're really needing help from our community to make all this cool stuff happen!

#Seedcollection is a major part of both #permaculture and #naturalfarming. This is how I collect seeds from tomatoes, ground cherry, and other seeds that are wet. I lay the wet seeds onto a piece of toilet tissue or paper towel. Then I put the paper towel into the fridge. After a day or two, I will remove the #seeds and put them into a small ziploc bag.

One of the most reliable food source in zone 8b with cold wet winter and hot dry summer is #daikon. I let some of my daikons flower, then get a ton of seed pods from them. Daikon seed pods are edible just like reddish seed pods. They are spicy like mustard when eaten raw. The spiciness goes away after cooking. But daikon is 10x more prolific than reddish. #permaculture #naturalfarming
