We’ve compiled a directory of parks and natural and scenic areas throughout the state that are accessible for people with disabilities. We’ve included trails and nature sites that have firm and even surfaces for individuals with #mobility concerns, #BrailleTrails and #AudioResources for #blind or #LowVision visitors, nature sites that offer #InclusiveProgramming, sites with #AdaptiveAmenities, and equipment to make visitor experiences more enjoyable. We are evaluating and adding new sites, so be sure to check back or sign up for email updates."

The #park of #CharlottenburgPalace #Berlin is #historically and #biologically significant. The #baroque #garden was first laid out in 1697 by landscape architect #SiméonGodeau, based on French models. Today's #naturalarea behind it is a haven of #biodiversity. In his article on #pioneeringresearch about Berlin's #urbanbiodiversity, G. Popkin (2023) summarizes the increasing interest in #speciesdiversity in #Berlin.
