I somehow missed this event... TODAY! September 14th! (There's another session in October...)
#FalmouthME - #NativePlantWalk at #GilslandFarm
September 14, 4-5 pm
October 19, 4-5 pm"Join #MaineAudubon staff for seasonal walks through the gardens, fields, and natural areas of Gilsland Farm. These informal guided walks offer an opportunity to observe native plants throughout the growing season while exploring their relationships with birds, pollinators, and other wildlife.
Each walk will focus on what is happening in the landscape at that moment—from late-season blooms and seed production to fall color, wildlife activity, and seasonal changes in habitat. Along the way, participants will learn plant identification skills, ecological concepts, and practical ideas for incorporating #NativePlants into their own landscapes.
Whether you’re new to native plants or a seasoned gardener, these walks provide a chance to slow down, sharpen your observation skills, and deepen your connection to the natural world.
These walks meet at the Ann & Jim Hancock Native Plants Education Center.
Maine Audubon strives to provide inclusive and accessible programs for all members of the community. If you require accommodations to participate in this program, please email [email protected]. Maine Audubon can best meet the needs of requests submitted at least seven days before the event start date."
