Do you want more #ExLibris (Hi)Stories?
I fell into a rabbit hole when I checked publications about exlibris in general & #Norwegian ones in particular in Norway's largest daily newspaper in the period leading up to the 1940s.
In T.B. Schyberg's bibliography, quite a few articles are listed, but I soon realised he didn't capture them all.
Since the #NationalLibrary has digitised all of #Aftenposten, I dove right in!
So far, I've identified 173 newspaper articles & ads: way more than expected! -

The National Library of Finland (my employer, part of the University of Helsinki) started a Mastodon instance at some.kansalliskirjasto.fi . There are two active accounts for services provided by the library: @Finto and @julkaisuarkistot .
This is an experiment; other services may follow. There is no "main" account for the library itself.
In parallel, the National Library has also created an account on Bluesky: @kansalliskirjasto.fi .

In Dec last year, the #SustainableDSE Network at the #UniOslo had the pleasure of inviting Katy Boss from the #NationalLibrary to give a talk on preserving dynamic websites for scholarly edition projects.

I'm currently at The Royal Swedish Academy of Letters, History and Antiquities, participating in a symposium on "Digitised Literary Cultural Heritage" celebrating 20 years of the Swedish Literature Bank https://litteraturbanken.se/. I talked ab/ the status quo in #Norway, highlighting https://www.bokselskap.no/, the #HenrikIbsen edition https://www.ibsen.uio.no/ & the completed digitisation of all books in the #NationalLibrary of Norway: as of today 639.661. I'm establishing a new routine called #ExLibris #Friday. Every Friday, I will post 1 ExLibris from my collection, the #NationalLibrary of Norway, or the #UniversityLibrary's digital collections.
Where possible, I will say a bit about the artist, the owner & the collection or how it came into my possession.
I start with an Exlibris made for me by #German artist & friend of my grandfather's, Willi Richter. I only have one copy, and I doubt more exist. It was a gift more to my grandfather than me. -
