Despite the best efforts of Canadian Geographic magazine, Canada does not have a national bird. A decade ago they held a survey intended to have Canadians choose their favourite bird and the winner - the Gray Jay - would be rubber stamped by Parliament. Didn't happen. Politicians refused to flock to the idea and the whole project laid an egg. I like Tod's recommendations and vote we put him in charge.#CanadaIsAwesome #NationalBird #Ornithology
