  1. My #Day29 population map for the #30DayMapChallenge. I'm reusing my #Day27 data from the National Agricultural Statistics Service. The bubble map shows the number of equines (i.e., horses, ponies, mules, burros, and donkeys) in the conterminous US from the 2017 Census.

  6. A map of dots for #Day27 of the #30DayMapChallenge. I'm a horseperson and I didn't know if a dataset existed for a horse census (not wild) in the US. Luckily, I found one with the National Agricultural Statistics Service. nass.usda.gov/ The dot density map shows the number of equines (i.e., horses, ponies, mules, burros, and donkeys) in the conterminous US from the 2017 Census. One dot = 500 head.
