Die Stadt Mainz hatte auch geplant Mastodon zu verlassen. Hat sich dann aber doch wieder dafür entschieden. Die Gründe usw. sind auf deren Profil auffindbar. S.z.B.:

Gerade der Verbraucherschutz sollte auf einer unabhängigen, verbraucherfreundlichen, offenen, nicht von rechter Bigtech vereinnahmten und von rechten bots verseuchten Plattform sein/bleiben. :-)

@Ex_spurt and yes, #nastodon lacks an intuitive UI, the mobile app violates basic ergonomics rules known for decades, a lot of surprising behavior requires you to read a lot of docs or cope with it and the community kills the rest of the motivation by complaining passive-aggressively about violating arbitrary bogus rules while telling you they feel moral superiority over you. This platform has a long way to go.
