Coney Island in Fort Wayne is the oldest hot dog stand in America. It has to be doing something right to be in operation and going strong now for over 112 years.
They haven't changed much in the way they run, their menu, recipe or how they make their famous coney dogs. It's pretty simple, if something works don't change it!
(BTW - I ordered with extra onions - yum!)

Nostalgia, Fun, and Programming
When we recognize music, movies, old photos, or video games of the past, it sometimes has a powerful effect: nostalgia. It’s a pattern of the past that we remember fondly. When we write code, we also recall patterns of the past to consider as tools to help solve today’s problem.

As to that popular post going around this morning about turn tables and CD players --
Anybody confused about how turn tables and CD players have needles, record and CD scratches, no ability to generate play lists, not much of an ability to shuffle, very little ability to manipulate music, or the need to manually change records and CDs?
I get the whole #Nastalgia thing. Let's not throw the baby out with the bath water though! Shall we?

This latest thing I've been watching has #audiodescription done by Five Guys Named Mo. It's the second series I've encountered that's been described by them. I'm very, very impressed by the work they're doing. Sitcoms are hard to describe. I'm happy to see the incredible talent working in this field.
BTW, the series is Family Matters.

Every time I watch Everything Everywhere All At Once (I think i am approaching re-watch 50 or so), I remember more "hooks" . . . moments in my life where my AuDHDist hyperfoci could have spun me off in another universe.
Today I am remembering an event several decades ago (yes, I am old), in which I was a temp at a company where the supervisor was on long term disability, and my unsupervised coworkers brought a tub of water balloons to a company picnic.
Long story short, they got us kicked out of the park for littering pieces of rubber balloons.
BUT before that, there was an epic water balloon fight. During that fight, I just "switched on" a skill for dodging. I remember afterwards my coworkers being like, "you were like Neo in The Matrix."
I just saw the trajectories of the water balloons and chose not to be in their paths.
Now, looking back, I see that I somehow tapped into skills from my alternate dimensions. AND/OR I had a breakthrough moment that spinned off into some greater talent.
Note: putting all my hashtags at the end because that is supposed to be better for screen readers.

Waar zou zij aan denken?
45 toerenplaatje die de lezeressen (en enkele lezers?) van de Margriet bij hun magazine konden kopen, lang lang geleden.
Pianiste is Rena Kyriakou (1917-1994). Bonuspunten voor wie de vier stukken herkent ;-)
