After yesterday's 3.5 hour wait for a train at Ceduna, today was much more productive. As I was passing through Iron Knob, an ore train was departing for Whyalla.
The Whyalla narrow gauge railway runs from the port at Whyalla to the mines at Iron Knob, Iron Monarch and Iron Baron.

Patience is everything when photographing unpredictable objects.
I waited 3.5 hours in Ceduna for this train to turn up! It's the thrice daily gypsum train from Kevin mine to Thevernard port.
This 60 km section is the only remaining operational part of the narrow gauge (1067mm/3ft 6in) Eyre Peninsula Railway in South Australia. At its largest, this was a 777km network, running from Penong to Port Lincoln, with multiple branches. Up until 2019, regular grain trains ran from several branches to Port Lincoln, however this is now transported by road.

One year ago today I visited the Roslagsbanan. This is a narrow gauge (891mm) suburban railway in Stockholm's northern suburbs. Services run out of Stockholms östra (Stockholm East station) on three branch lines, which are electrified at 1500v.
The current rolling stock was manufactured by ABB in the late 1980s and runs in a 3 car configuration, with the centre car being accessible with a low floor and wider doors.
