    The Accidental Phone Call

    She misdialed a number, she said,
    but not really.

    So we reminisced about old times,
    the good work we did together,
    where our coworkers are,
    what our children are doing.

    Organizations end,
    but relationships don’t have to.
    I can do better at staying connected.

    I can be more intentional,
    while at the same time
    knowing that
    on this journey
    there are no
    accidental phone calls.
