Can this result in stronger cyclones?If Narrelle tracks south down the coast just offshore will wind speeds stay higher than a well-offshore southerly track would allow?

Severe Tropical #Cyclone #Narelle has intensified again into a category 4 storm as it barrels towards 800km of Western #Australia's coastline.
The storm, currently sitting about 210km north-west of Karratha, is forecast to cause destructive winds gusts of up to 230km/h (140mph), over 200mm of rainfall and a risk of flash flooding.

Sheesh, the Pascoe River in far North Queensland was 1m deep when I crossed it in May last year and it’s currently 20m and rising. Difficult to imagine that amount of water #Narelle
