Ordered some #NHL #flannelsheets from #PotteryBarn as very much a treat!
• 3 months to arrive
• they sent a Full instead of a Queen, so never used
• got an RMA from their system - and returned via UPS via a store
• no refund, still no refund (they think highly of their stuff, so *not* a small amount! (as you can see))
• #multiple #attempts to contact were futile (1-800 as no email, etc)

Looks like someone is flooding retailers with AI-Slop Coloring books. They go by the name Ela Artjoy. The books are made by through the self publishing service "tredition" and this kind of stuff is the only thing put out by them. I can't see why any retailer would want to degrade themself by stocking these. But #galaxus just did. There are hundreds of these things in their coloring-book section. Dwarfing any real books....
This is sad and infuriating. Anyone knows who is behind this? I would not think, that it's a personal operation if they are getting stocked by walmart and galaxus...

I was all worried about this "skills assessment" I had to take in order to be considered for this place called Gigster Network, and I finally gritted my teeth and went for it... and it was a bunch of SAT-style and "IQ" test-type things. What word best completes this sentence, what image completes this sequence, that kind of utter crap. Plus a bunch of things that basically just wanted me to do arithmetic of various sorts.
Utterly infuriating. Gigster, youse suck.
That was the 2nd-most-infuriating #jobhunt or #recruiters-related experience I've had in my life. The one who emailed and said they'd call me? They just called.
It was a robot. Named "Recruiter Jamie". After checking that this was a good time, it asked me a ridiculously open-ended question about my last project, then cut me off after I'd talked for about 10 seconds. It asked me about my UI experience, and I told it to fuck off and hung up.
Its employer, BTW, was Apex Systems. #NameAndShame
