possibly a bit of a long shot here but has anyone used nail salon style benchtop extractor fans / dust collectors, like the style pictured below?

my wife has recently been doing her own acrylic nails and the dust is a problem. these units are all over Amazon and AliExpress (often identical products but 70% cheaper direct from China!) and I'm wondering if the cheap £20-ish ones are at all useful. they seem more suitable than solder fume extractors.
