Further to my post yesterday..#mko represents #Treaties 4, 5, 6 and 10. The #childadvocate is quoted as urging the #mbgovt to do something.
All I see, again , is #nahannifontaine (#ministeroffamilies) showing up to #boujee events looking like a fashion plate, baking cakes, and using trendy songs to clap back at her detractors. We need action NOW. Kids can't wait. What has really been done?

First, she posts something impassioned, then dirty deletes it, then gives a flimsy apology (which seems to be her M.O.)
She needs a social media manager and to learn the "24 hr rule" before she posts or speaks something while her blood is boiling.
Nahanni has basically become a spokesmodel instead of an MLA.
Time to step down/face an improvement plan, as any other workplace would ask.

This gave me an "a-ha" moment; I wrote #NahanniFontaine a long email expressing concerns over CFS children still being placed in hotels, and in the system in general. I didn't get an auto respond message, which I found odd, as pretty much every gov't office I've emailed does that. Nor did I ever hear back.
Shemaligning and ignoring the people she's supposed to advocate for. What has she accomplished in this role?

It's been over a week since #nahannifontaine made her "Apology" on social media, and she's been silent on there ever since. Which speaks volumes in itself, as she used to be on almost every day; usually for fashion shows and fancy cake making.
Ironically..It's #disabiitypridemonth . By staying silent, she's showing herself to be a coward and that her loyalty clearly isn't with the disabled.
If she can't take critiques and is giving us the silent treatment, that's gaslighting.
Time to step down!
100% this. #kinew and co. also couldn't be bothered to respond to #aptn directly when asked for comment...which is especially cowardly and unprofessional, as they are #indigenous leaders not responding to an indigenous network.

Well, Wab Kinew has disappointed me.
He is supposed to reflect and honour the wishes and
concerns of all Manitobans. He seems to be siding with Nahanni and her defenders.
Many in the Disabled/Deaf communities are asking for her resignation. Is that just being ignored?
As promising as this government is/was, this shows that they aren't that different from any other political organization...covering asses is priority.

This. I'm so tired of people saying #nahannifontaine just "made a mistake". Being #ableist is just as bad as being racist. If she'd dropped a racial slur, people would be rightfully horrified..why is this somehow acceptable?
Lately, she's all about fashion shows, gala events, and pastry how-to videos, and not enough about substance.

#NahanniFontaine has become hugely disappointing to me. She has since apologized, sure, once she was caught- but what will she do with her apology? It's revolting to hear such #ableism from the minister of #inclusion herself!
This isn't isolated, either..she seems to have lost her way. I used to really admire her. She responded terribly to the #cfs crisis of hotel use, and couldn't be bothered to even send a form letter when I emailed her.
I hope she finds her way.
