The green tea we know today is all thanks to Nagatani Sōen (永谷宗円 1681-1778), a tea merchant from Yuyadani. Over 15 years he developed new techniques for producing tea leaves, transforming previously crude brown leaves into the flavorful green leaves we know today☕️😓🙌🍵
