  3. ZAP BLAP Don't use adapters for your Tesla crap!

    Looks like the issue was with the charging station not playing nice with the adapter and causing a massive arc-fault.

    Doesn't look like the person was seriously injured, nor the car seriously damaged. But that would have been a bad day nonetheless.

    edit: upon further investigation, it appears the Fort St location was erroneous. It appears to have been the On the Run station at the Chevron on the “Old Hope Princeton Hwy”.

    This is also why there should be *one* standard DC high speed charging car plug. One. Only one. For everyone. (there are currently three)

With almost all OEMs adopting NACS for the 2025 model year it makes perfect sense. For #EV owners with older cars, NACS>J1772 adapters are readily available for about $125.

    The supply uncertainty is enabling some hardware makers to raise prices on the new ports. Perhaps we’ll see discounts on J1772 stock in short order. #YVR

    This is the first of many “#Gigahubs” in the works and has opened as #bp pulse’s largest #EVcharging station in the US. According to a release from bp pulse, the new EV charging #Gigahub is located two miles from LAX Airport and features 48 DC charging piles. The chargers offer a mix of 150kW and 400kW options as well as #CCS and #NACS plugs.

Cables still too short to accommodate charging port on the opposite side. Also, the parking lanes are incredibly narrow. Exact opposite of #evgo and #electrifyanerica charging spots I’ve been to. I guess I will avoid em for now unless I *really* need to charge away from home. Blocking two lanes wouldn’t be appreciated lol

  19. I finally received my NACS adapter from GM! Now Susan and I can use Tesla superchargers for charging our Chevy Bolt EVs when we're on road trips.

    However, I believe in #BeingPreprared. So, I bought a #J1772 to #NACS #Tesla adapter but I'd only use a Tesla #Supercharger (or destination charger) as a last resort (because I have issues with #Musk ) & haven't even downloaded the Tesla charging app yet, so I can't even use a Tesla charger yet but . . .
