In a recent discussion (https://mastodon.social/@65dBnoise/111541196863014711) about purifying water on Mars, I #SciFi jokingly suggested to use biology (water hyacinths) to remove perchlorates.
Well, now there is a real proposal to detoxify Martian water using biology (engineered bacteria) and turn dissolved perchlorates into H2O, Cl-, and O2. Proposed by NASA Ames Research Center and selected for funding in 2024 by #NACI .

They could have said "..since suspected/likely SARS-CoV-2 infection", but they didn't. But if they had, that would probably cover the majority of Canadians who would otherwise be eligible -- possibly a very large majority. That probably would have really inflated the 'percentage of recommended people who got a booster' number, but not much else.
What they did actually say is: *known* SARS-CoV-2 infection. So if I *know* I've been infected in the last six months, it's not recommended that I get the booster. But if I don't know, then sure, they recommend I get the booster.
I guess I'll do my best to avoid getting tested for possible SARS-CoV-2 infection for the next couple months? That seems like the only sensible plan.
At least I know I'll be following the recommendations of the experts and not just those of random Internet people -- I've already seen how that works out.
