Sadly I'm noticing that #GuinnessZero seems to trigger migraines for me. I may as well just have a real one if that is going to happen. Sad cuz I do like it.

#CoronaCero seems to be a better choice for me. #HeinekenZero seems okay, but it's bland enough that I tend not to bother if it's the only non-alcohol option somewhere.

#Beverage du jour. Not a craft beer, but rather my go-to choice: pomegranate molasses with club soda.

If you try it, just be sure to start with a bit of pom molasses diluted with a couple of tablespoons of water first, then add the soda. It won't dissolve easily otherwise. Forms a nice frothy head too.

Taste test!

If you're in Canada and have access to both Metro/FoodBasics and Loblaws/Superstore you might come across these non-alcoholic IPA-style beers.

The PC/Loblaws one appears to be new, whereas the Food Basics/Irresistibles is one we've enjoyed for a while.

Anyone else substituting part or all of their alcohol intake this month as part of #DryJanuary? We're cutting back, not out, so for up, it's more like #MoistJanuary. Or #DampJanuary.

Anyway, what #nonalcoholic booze replacements are you enjoying?

For us:
-Athletic #NABeer continues to be the best and most reliable of options readily found here in Chicagoland.
-Seedlip's fake spirits are nice, but it takes 2x as much of those as it would booze to make a drink, so they're pricey.
-Lyre's "Amalfi Spritz" tastes shockingly like an Aperol Spritz.
-And Giesen non-alcoholic wine tastes like the drippings from a bar mat at the end of a long night. Fucking awful.

My latest article for the local paper considers #DryJanuary and the local #NonAlcoholicBeer options currently available in #CentralOregon (including #HopWater).

Good news for #NABeer lovers! The LCBO has lots of Guinness Zero in stock. Most of it is concentrated in the GTA but #Ottawa has it in a couple stores as well. For me, I'm going to pick some up from Little Cutrent while I'm away.

Guinness Zero alert! https://upsidedrinks.ca has some in stock. I immediately bought two - but also added on a Collective Arts NA sampler. I didn't know they had more than one! #NABeer

Wow. If you want Guiness Zero, your best bet (in Ontario) is Moosonee. 84 cases. Why do they get all of it? Come on, LCBO, spread it out! The most convenient place for me now is Manitowaning, but I won't be in the area until later in December. Hopefully their 9 cases last until then. #NABeer

Tried Guinness Zero tonight. Now, I haven't had regular Guinness in quite some time (I haven't had any drink since 2019), so I'm not entirely sure if I can accruately gauge the flavour. But to me it tastes like watered down Guinness, but still good. Not my favourite NA beer but it's above many others. #NABeer

A full pint can of Guinness 0.0 is a very pleasing thing.
