Wow Day 1 of #NAB drained me. Doing public presentations at the Adobe booth is a whole different thing compared to the ad-hoc demo pods.
It's awesome to see the crowds loving our Text-Based Editing demos.
I'm looking forward to doing some show floor wandering today before the afternoon Adobe booth shift!

Blimey, the updates in Resolve 18.5 are massive. The feature list is 10 pages long 🤯
- Resolve and Fusion can import USD (.usdc, .usdz, .usda)
- USD toolset for managing assets.
- Support for USD Hydra based renderers including Storm+ many, many more.

eSIMs are great. Tomorrow I’ll be on my way to #NAB2023 and I already have a US Data plan on my iPhone. As soon as I land I’ll be communicable without using roaming.

I love automations. One feature that has been added to Compressor some time ago, a long time coming, was watch folders.
I now use it frequently and have a whole workflow based on it that will be used during #NAB2023.
I’m getting 8K LongGOP afiles from the A1 and transcoding to 8K All-I, 4K All-I, 1080p & 720p proxy (LongGOP), all in HEVC 10-bit 4:2:0 (soon to be 4:2:2 when the M2 Max arrives).
This gets uploaded to my cloud storage and in the cloud gets synced to LucidLink.

@kbsez well, I really like the familiarity of the controls, inspector and logic somehow, but the edit page is SO limited for anyone that’s used to editing in multiple tracks that I felt like editing with my hands tied behind my back, and this was an ultra easy edit!
Part of me feels like I *could* try to do the #NAB2023 coverage edit on DaVinci, but I’m not hyper confident.
