  1. At the National Archives checking out the final day of the Australian Geographic Nature Photographer of the Year.

  3. Please share this around and fill out to get letters to the DHS about ending 287g. You have a chance to do some direct action. Even if it's only a little.

  5. A visit from my sister coincided with the end of an exhibition at the National Archives of Australia (NAA).

The exhibition was "Disrupt, Persist, Invent - Australians in an ever-changing world".

    From NAA's website:
"From noisy protest to quiet persistence, Disrupt, persist, invent explores the many ways people have achieved social change in Australia."

I was particularly taken with this display about the Same-Sex Plebiscite which had the yarn-bombed pushbike from the Newtown Treble-Maker, Eloise Murphy, which was parked outside the then PM's house.

There's a video about her and her particular 'brand' of social activism on the NAA's site.
