Hm. I've started using @mullvadnet browser on my work laptop (without VPN - our workplace makes us use theirs). However, I also have to use things like Google Workplace, Zoom and Teams for work emails, document sharing, calls, etc.
Zoom and Teams links don't open in Mullvad, though - am I stuck, then?
(I can't seem to get the browser to allow meeting links to open the software.)

So there is this Snowstorm going on in #Hamburg, and I have some time ago, got this Canon EOS M and installed magic lantern, and there is a setting that allows it to take 14bit raw video. And I want to take a few moody shots outside. But it seems I'm not good enough to actually get it right, I don't get when it's really recording or not, and everything is way to dark and out of focus. Does someone have a few good tips or a good resource on that for me? #MagicLantern #N00b #CanonEosM

I installed termux on my Android tablet and started installing stuff I have zero idea about, but it made the terminal look cool so I'm down with it. 😎
I think this is the kind of stuff Mondays are made for.
Edit 1: I installed git. Do I want to use the ssh-agent, whatever it is? #n00b
Edit 2: Nevermind. I installed whatever it suggested I install and nothing exploded. So far.

I was today's years old when I created my first python package (with poetry) and later that day installed it in another machine.
(I will not publish it to pypi or so, although it is free software, because it's too specific and just for fun) -
:alert: MAJOR Plot twist! :FireDumpster:
I'm sure you're having a better morning than me because I was greeted with an email from #OVH (the VPS provider) that started with "Hello Mr. Rossini" and informed me that the VPS was stopped because they suspected a hack - and it will be permanently deleted. "Now let us know Mr. Rossini if you'd like to purchase a new VPS plan."
30 Euros* for 4 hours of VPS experimentation with Docker! YAY (not!)
(*30 Euros corresponded to a 6-month plan, sigh)
I received ZERO advanced warnings... #OVHCloud simply deleted my VPS because of "unusual activity" and proposed I buy a new one.
I had installed #Fail2Ban on it first thing yesterday morning, but I suppose changing 0.0.0.0 with my VPS's IP4 address in one of the Docker settings... to connect it to Docker GUI did it for me.
You live, you learn.
I will stay away from OVH Cloud.
(Yes I had tried creating an account with Hetzer and NetCup before but they had a convoluted signup process and wanted too much personal info/docs, so I had given up and turned to OVH. My bad).
What will I do now?
Find a new VPS provider.
Feeling salty about the 30 Euros I spent for 6 months with OVH but honestly I feel like I dodged a bullet. I had nothing installed on the VPS, except for Fail2Ban and basic Docker. Imagine how catastrophic it would have been if they had deleted my VPS without warning if I had important stuff on it! Shivering at the thought.
Onwards and upwards, more humble than ever, with infinite respect for sysadmins 🙏

Could someone advise how I can browse other instances? I would enjoy a larger content feed. #n00b

So far, so good...
I've done this course before, but so long ago, that I need a full refresher!
We have a Player (Green), some falling blocks, and a Coin to collect! The problem now is that I *know* I will be falling into some n00b-traps, so any advice on Good Practice would be appreciated.

I had found it weird the wireless headphones were not recharging while I was away from the desk. All month. This morning I saw the dock for them light up when I plugged in the laptop to it's dock. I realized the headphone dock needed to get plugged into the power strip. #n00b
