Chaque année j'essaie d'y proposer un format un peu exotique pour changer de ce qui est joué d'accoutumée à l'association. Ces dernières années j'ai fait un partie marathon, une partie avec 3 arbitres sur 3 tables synchrones, une création collaborative de cadre de jeu...

Cette année, ce sera un peu plus classique : 3 parties de #MythicBastionland dans un unique royaume, à 100 ans d'intervalle chacune, pour voir le cadre évoluer, avec chaque partie influençant les suivantes. 🏰

Hoy he hecho doble sesión de rol porque parte del grupo se ha retrasado y, pese a que ayer estaba bastante cansado, hoy salió todo bastante bien y mantuve las energías hasta el final. Eso sí, cuando se fue todo el mundo me convertí en un cadáver en el sofá😅.

Las partidas fueron de Mythic Bastionland y de Mothership. En MB mis jugadoras investigaron una plaga que asolaba una ciudad, averiguaron como matar un gusano gigante (les dieron pistas una masa de serpientes que se bañaban en un volcán), hablaron con el gusano gigante y fueron a buscar un buey de mar (es un tipo de buey anfíbio, nada que ver con el crustáceo) para enevenenarlo y que se lo coma el gusano.

En Mothership estuvieron toda la sesión negociando con un representante de La Compañía ("La Compañía se preocupa") por mejores conidciones laborales, luego hicieron lo mismo con un sindicato del crimen y, en tránsito a un planeta donde iba a situarse la sesión, estuvieron investigando quién era el traidor en la nave que les iba a llevar (el traidor les daría el código de control al acabar la misión, querían extorsionarlo de antes). Y así en el momento tuve que sacar una historia de amor, androides infiltrados (ganas de dirigir Gradient Descent), envenenadores y muchos potenciales traidores.

Y ambas partidas fueron un éxito, porque ya han pedido más!

Parece que hoy es un buen día para el rol! Voy a dirigir Mythic Bastionland (si hay aforo) y a la noche... mi primera sesión de Mothership!

Les tengo muchas ganas a ambos, ya que Mythic Bastionland (e Into the Odd, y Electric Bastionland) me parecen de los sistemas más cómodos que hay, además de que los libros son de lectura obligatoria para cualquier persona que quiera aprender a dirigir juegos de rol.

Por otra parte Mothership es un gran sistema también, que comparte mucha filosofía con la escuela OSR (Renacimiento de la Vieja Escuela) yq que tiene mucho carácter como juego. Bueno, MB también 😅. Quizás hasta debería hacer alguna reseña en algún momento de diversos sistemas de rol y por qué me gustan ​:blobcat_coffee:​.

Y hoy... contaremos con la aparición estelar (nunca mejor dicho) de @[email protected] !

I've enjoyed playing and running Odd-like RPGs, and #MythicBastionland remains at the top of my list of games to run. Given this, it's amazing how many of Chris McDowall's posts I've read on his in-progress Intergalactic #Bastionland without understanding what that game will be!

A fairly productive night of #TTRPG prep. Pre-gens and maps generated and printed for a weekend one-shot of #MythicBastionland. There's still more to do, like generate the myths and location info, and I suppose I should learn the rules...

In the latest session of Mythic Bastionland we hit Mature age and got pretty great stats, and figured we were strong enough to take on the Wurm myth.

...one dead knight and one maimed knight later, we've decided that next session we're going to be exploring the mass combat rules 😅

Our new #roleplay game has given me a fun creative outlet in that I've started chronicling our weekly #MythicBastionland games as the group's scribe. My knight is a learned man after all, so it makes sense to be the one telling the tale. I'm tempted to post them on here as they're written but I worry that some of the context may be lost.

Any other #rpg scribes out there who do something similar? Worth doing or just keep it to my group?

Last night my #roleplay group started a game of #MythicBastionland. What a game that is. Just so different to what we've played before. My character is a thoughtful, bookish knight and even in our short session yesterday we all managed to establish what made us all unique. Tonight in #MythicBastionland, a trip across the realm. We met at least one omen for each myth: a star to watch, a wyvern to kill, a rude possessed minstrel to handle…

I'm getting the hang of the game: being more liberal in the interpretation of omens makes for more dynamic play, and a layer of courtly intrigue makes the realm meatier rather than only using it as a backdrop for myths.

We are doing one season per session, and already reached the end of the first age 🧓.

Tonight in #MythicBastionland, our two new knights actually survived.

The Snare Knight and Hooded Knight encountered the morbid Reliquary knight ruling over the ossuary tower, faced the threats of the Mist and the Demon, and encountered their first seer, the Lens Seer.

Myths from the book are often a bit light on what the knights can actually do to prevent the worst from happening. Arbitrating what works and what does not requires more referee fiat than I expected. 🤔

RIP ⚰️ Leaf Knight 🍃, Amber Knight ✴️, and their squires 🔰, defeated in combat by the Giant Boar 🐗 in the Kingdom of Dulcette ⚜️, a mere day after leaving the castle 🏰.

Let's hope next week's fellowship fares better! 🤞
