  1. Does anyone know what these are? They're gelatinous and seem to have something to do with the leaves. #biology #mysteryobject #flora

  2. What is this? Anyone recognize it? Found on the shore of a bay in Washington. Looks like a tooth but feels like wood.

  3. Okay internets, mysterious object identification time...
Found in my late stepfather-in-law's house. The lever extending the blades is spring loaded, retracting them sharply when the small button is pressed. The central knob screws to adjust the amount of blade that sticks out. May have some sort of medical application.

  4. Happy New Year!

Weather was grim so stayed in, no wild parties.

For those who aren't still sleeping it off, here's a photo of a mystery object to get those brain cells back into gear for 2025...

  5. What the heck is this?

This was found on the floor of our house. For context, it was built in 1923, California, stucco. We are doing some renovation work, so could have rolled out from the wall. Or, maybe from an old piece of furniture?

It’s approx 3.5mm diameter and 5mm long. Looks cast. Possibly bronze or brass. It’s a brownish metal, and not rusty.

    Any ideas?

  15. I don’t know what @evelynefoerster is planning again, but I know that it will be tasty. Maybe another #Gugelhupf? Who knows? I think, I will have to wait until tonight to find out. 🤔🤣

I only know some #Ingredients so far: butter, two eggs, some milk and a little oil of unknown flavor.

  16. What is this very tarnished metal object?

It comes from my partner’s nana, probably from when she was a governess in China in the 1920s.

(And any advice on the best way to clean it up will be appreciated)

ETA: it is an example of knife money, thank you very much everyone

  17. Anyone know what this is? It was dug out of my daughter's new garden. Please boost for more answers! (Note paint added by a three year old!)

  18. And a mystery - feel free to boost this one. It's a pin that was in my grandmother's/grandfather's jewelry box, so it likely dates from 1910-1950. It's slightly smaller than an American dime.
