I do like coins which are interesting shapes, and while "square" (or "square with rounded corners") may not be the most interesting geometric shape normally, it is a more interesting shape when you look at coins as there aren't quite so many (there have only been 22 common circulating coins which are some form of square in the last 50 years) - but if you know this king and emperor, you'll know this particular coin wasn't one of them...
So... we can read WHO he is.... but where is this coin from and when?

AN.IVB.MCMLXXV" around the edge, the WHEN should also be achievable... so what I'd like to know is the WHY? What is on the other side of this coin which makes it topical for the current season?
