For example, the #ForgottenRealms world of Toril has the continent of Maztica to serve as its repository for Mesoamerican tropes; to fill the same niche #Greyhawk's Oerth has the Olmans and #Mystara's Hollow World has the creatively-named Azcans.

None of these cultures are exactly like each other or like IRL indigenous peoples of Mexico; they are different enough to seem like foreign countries to each other, but they all look similar if compared to the medieval "baselines" of their worlds.

The Carnifex! In the old BECMI module Twilight Calling, they were just some sort of super-powerful lizard man. But they were supposed to be some sort of Ur-race that took the Immortals to defeat, so I wanted to depict them as the world-breaking monsters that they are.

After I started half-time work on RPG histories in 2020, I had too many things I wanted to do!

So I also started a work on a second project: expanding and regularizing the TSR product histories I wrote for DnDClassics.

I quickly learned that I had many, many books worth of content and settled on initially producing a four-book series covering OD&D, AD&D 1e, BD&D, and Mystara.

I've been putting together one of those a year. So that'll be done next year.
