One good thing of this entire #Myrient and #Minerva "situation" is that it makes more people familiar with #torrents. So it helps decentralise the web again. Even if just ever so slightly.

Oh but it is also kinda interesting that when I specifically asked about an example for such a "corrupted file" and a diff I didn't get any response at all.

So anyone know what all of this is about?

Esp. because some mentioned them injecting or modifying the files I'm now also kinda interested in this from a #infosec perspective...

Desiderate sind verstreut, Teile der Community haben ganze Abschnitte der über 390 Terrabyte "gesichert". Manche Teile mögen für immer verloren sein. Having joined the Myrient discord truly doesn't disappoint.

There is one guy that named himself "epstein" (probably a bot account). Someone asked "who's that dud?" followed by "why?". And someone else then wrote "he was also a fan of files, so..."

And in another channel someone complains that the download speed is currently so slow that it was faster for him to rip his own disk instead of downloading it - lol.
