On 26 June, the Cherry Red label is releasing *Armagideon Time: When Punk Met Dub 1978–1984* in a 3-CD box set. An exciting journey on which I particularly enjoy the collaboration between Jah Wobble, Jaki Liebezeit and Holger Czukay, as well as the dubby punk of the Surface Mutants and, of course, the dubs by the likes of Garland Jeffrey, George Dekker and Linton Kwesi Johnson, or the tracks by The Ruts and Ex-O-Dus.

Both were also elected to counter the new kings in politics. The #SGE shows that it is not up to the competition of the money kings and belongs in #Europe. That's a good thing. A loud #NoKings for 2026!

2025. #Eintracht #Frankfurt spielt in der Königsklasse. In der #Bundestagswahl zieht eine zuvor tot gesagte @dielinke mit 8% ein und @zohrankmamdani wird in #NYC zum Bürgermeister gewählt. Beide wurden auch gewählt, um den neuen Königen in der Politik etwas entgegenzusetzen. Die #SGE zeigt, dass sie dem Wettbewerb der Geldkönige nicht gewachsen ist und nach #Europa gehört. Gut so. Ein lautes #NoKings für 2026!

My favourite record from the Jamaican archives these days is BABYLON FALL by Junior Ross & The Spears. The album from 2018 brings together recordings that Tapper Zukie produced from the mid to late 70s. The line-up of the band is awesome! It includes Sly & Robbie, Augustus Pablo and Vin Gordon on instruments and Prince Alla on backing vocals.
In short, get your arse to your trusted record dealer and pick up the disc!

Kulturny Viktor, Rebelsteppa & Puff Nutty have released the tune "Музыкальная полиция". And it's probably no coincidence that the cover is reminiscent of #JuniorMurvin|s "Police & Thieves".
„The tune is dedicated to representatives of subcultures whose appearance often catches the attention of law enforcement. However labeling and judging by appearance is a thankless task. To stand out means to be original, not suspicious. The catchy chorus and pumping riddim turned this tune into a hit long before its official release — thanks to massive dubplate rotation by selectors across the country and even beyond. It's a great joy for us to present this track to the world!“
