  1. Got a call from his nurse that his NG tube is being removed today. NPO still because the Hospitalist wants an SLP therapist to evaluate him for swallowing. Which can be difficult when there are so many days with an NG tube.

I happen to know SLP’s don’t work Sundays. So at least one more day no food, no clear liquid diet, no water or ice chips. These all are things that would help his raw throat feel better. Rats. Ok, a tiny bit of improvement, yay! Appreciate you all coming by.

  2. Welcome to our nebulous zone, amorphous actuality or ambiguous status. Since moving from top level ICU to specialty ICU in Neurology on Friday night, my son is just floating along without much happening at all.

Until the GI surgeons or Hospitalist sees the x-ray reports to see if ok to lighten up ongoing strategies. It’s Sunday almost noon so docs may not be around until night. Hoping to hear his NG tube will be removed he can be given ok to have clear liquids. It’s been 2 weeks, 2 days since this drama began. He’s in Neuro because if a 3rd bowel obstruction comes he could go back into status seizures. He is sleeping most of the time, which is either bad or good depending on how this affects he when he’s finally discharged.

Nebulous/Amorphous/Ambiguous = everything up in the air, waiting to see if something negative happens or doesn’t. Ah well, tomorrow is Monday and hopefully I may finally talk to a GI surgeon since none have called me or met me since all this began.

  3. This is how one of my iPhone photos looks on Flickr in one of my albums. Sometimes I wait a while befor I stare at an iPhone photo to see if I want to monkey with it a bit more in editing. I try really hard to present a photo in a faithful photo with true color as I saw it in the moment I took the photo. It’s mighty tempting to boost the color because over the years I see more and more people doing this. The saturation is too deep or contrast too sharp. Landscapes are tricky because so many use HDR to heighten a fantasy appearance far more magical than reality. Or maybe I’m just not validating when someone else is seeing the image super pumped up as their own reality. #MyPhoto #MyPhotography #iPhone #Chalcedony #Rock

  8. Lötensjön. I took this photo west of Uppsala (Sweden). I have created this panorama with a wide open Sigma art 50mm 1.4 lens, That is how I have created a shallow depth of field in this photo.
