Hace un par de meses colaboré con la Cooperativa @mayfirst y la organización @sursiendo en la generación de una imagen para la portada de su investigación "Acciones por la justicia ambiental desde infraestructuras tecnológicas autónomas y comunitarias".
Esta investigación da cuenta de las estrategias con las que proyectos autónomos -de infraestructura de internet- hacen frente al modelo derrochador de las grandes corporaciones, sus narrativas irresponsables y sus prácticas depredatorias.

Drawpile 2.3 is gonna add a Pigment blend mode, based on MyPaint's. It makes the paint mixing more "realistic", e.g. mixing blue and yellow will result in green instead of a dull gray.
I know there's some people that are very enthusiastic about this stuff. If you are or know someone that is and got a better curve or whatever to use, give a poke somewhere.
For some reference, these are the curves from MyPaint, the T matrix is to go from spectral to linear RGB and the three other arrays are to go from linear RGB to spectral: https://github.com/mypaint/mypaint/blob/master/lib/blending.hpp#L21-L41

(To pre-emptively answer some things. I'm not into this stuff, your gradients wont tell me anything, just give me numbers and I can check how it looks when I plug them in. Yes I know of the Krita merge request and spectral.js, they're unusably slow because they do like over 80 calculations instead of 10. Yes I know of Mixbox, it can't be used for anything because it's under a stupid license.)

Today I got libmypaint working with my canvas component for Fluid! And yes, it reads my pen tablet input.

People run away from Adobe to the next proprietary tool.
To avoid falling into the enshittification trap again, best learn to use:
#Krita and #mypaint (for #creative #drawing) and #Gimp (for more technical tasks) — and support them in the hopes that one of them will become the image editing equivalent of #Blender.
For #video there are #kdenlive, #openshot, and #shotcut, but these also need support to make it more likely that one of them reaches the completeness, quality, and spread of #OBS.

speaking of mypaint, I just downloaded it so I could edit and test brushes, and one interesting thing I discovered about it is the flexible inking functionality. This sort of thing could suppress my habit of constantly pressing undo every time a line looks wrong to me.
