honestly i don't think any of my ocs exist in the right time period for that. ArgAnt is closest but that's still a couple decades too early. I mean yeah, most of the vampires would probably live that long, and hell, probably most if not all of the humans too, but idc about them.

Anyways the OCs of mine most likely to assassinate a president / other major leader are Visk (he's like this close to snapping and trying to kill major figures in the corp he works for) and Knight!Alvarus (not for personal reasons they just love murder)

Meet The OC: Rile

Rile is a problem solver. That is, he’s a problem, and he helps solve things. Gabriel Singer escaped a covert lab where he was built, not born. His panic and horror leak out in combat, corroding minds and pushing people toward violence. He doesn’t want to hurt anyone (he does, actually, but he’s working on it — don’t be weird). The world doesn’t always give him a choice.

He’s quiet, intense, and clearly not okay. Polite, even gentle, but tension clings to him like static. People feel it when he enters. He avoids crowds and flinches at praise, but shows up when it counts. Even if it breaks him a little more each time.

It’s hard to be a hero when you’re a threat to the peace.

“Eat your veggies, kids, it’s how we hit back against the Hamidon,”

The Praetorian Empire was a place with one of the most well-developed media landscapes you could imagine. So many channels, so many ideas, even if they weren’t all given the money and time to do everything. There were so many good ways to keep a population contained. Like, for example, the promotional hero shows that lived in the space of Reality TV, DocuDrama, and Sentai Program like Silver Hearts. Silver Hearts was a show for the compliance-inclined inquisitive power-fantasy driven tween to teen demographic, and one of the cast was the hero group’s Nonthreatening Edgy Hunk, Heartquake.

When his ratings took a sharp dip due to ‘demographic shifting,’ he got to find out just how abruptly the benefits of Praetoria could be withdrawn. Really, it’s a good thing that Praetoria blew up or his story might have become a real bummer.

Someone has to be the best.

Lti (pronounced a bit like ‘Ilty’) has a burden few of the Mu in the Etoile struggle with. Most Mu have to work hard and concentrate and focus and struggle with the attenuation to reach into the ancient texts to tap even the mildest bursts of Mu power. There are stories of some ancient, body-hopping experts, some soul-extorting freaks and some genetic misplacements that break these rules, but almost always, Mu mages are scraping the filaments of a god from the sky and the power they have to countenance heroes is that – a faintest reserve of an immeasurably powerful deity.

For Lti, it’s just there.

What do you do when you’re the most powerful mage in your discipline in a generation?

Dead drops and drunk tanks. A door left unlocked. A hole in the guard patrol schedule. An undersecured door, a familiar password, a moment of forgetfulness, or believable forgetfulness. In Praetoria, you could get a lot done by leaning on the way that everyone thought everyone else was corrupt.

Deja was one of them. The Secret police, that is. The term they use is ‘found family’ – when you dig out a collection of people who make the world make some sense. It wasn’t even her name, at first – it was her task force, for finding infiltrators. She was so good at it, they made her – well, Latrice Delain – commander.

Weird she never found herself.

The revolution is over, Praetoria is in ruins, but the work goes on. Like drifting spores, the corruption of the PPD hides in secret places, in filing cabinets and accountancy. That needs to be dealt with. And that needs a new name.

Meet the OC: Blood Hound

Outside of Praetoria proper, there are the little spaces that the Devouring Earth haven’t yet claimed. They’re a little ramshackle, running on older tech, and using whatever means possible to protect themselves from the spores. For Jhai’s people, they induced a symbiote, from old wood and older moulds, that let them take on another form. It looked like magic, but it tasted like science.

Jhai may look like a werewolf, and the technicalities may be a BIT different, but the important thing was it kept him clean of spores while his family lived out in the wilds. But that research centre eventually gave in, the wilds were eventually too much – and he had to make his way back to Praetoria, back to the Powers division.

Fortunately, it turns out, he took to orders well. Where the wolf and the man overlap, whatever’s left is at least a little bit like a dog.

Her mother’s the head of the PPD Special Offenders Unit, it would be pretty strange for her to know much about that at all.
