Last night we watched #MyNeighbourTotoro and what a delightful movie. Showed kids being kids and parents who were actually awesome and supportive. The art design was naturally a sight to see.

Why is it that every 1980-99 era anime that I've watched is some sort of acid trip animation masterpiece? Like #neongenesisevangelion , #akira etc.

Had a fabulous start to 2023 watching the superb My Neighbour Totoro at the Barbican today with the family.

I’ve never seen a play so creative and full of joy! Every set change is artfully done, the puppeteers gracefully dance around the stage (even in the dark), and the totoro was something to behold (created by Jim Henson’s Creature Shop no less). It’s brilliant to be at a theatre where the audience whoop and gasp with joy throughout. Recommended! #theatre #MyNeighbourTotoro #StudioGhibli
