Saturday: Realise after going on a Julian Cope music afternoon... that you have the vinyl album, but not the CD.
Sunday: Go looking for a download of the album you own in a digital format that isn't going to require some form of payment for a temp license.
Sunday: Can't find anything
Sunday: Head over to ebay to look for the CD
Sunday: Get frustrated at the greedy chancers trying to sell used CD's for £30 plus
Sunday: Luck upon the only decent seller who has it listed starting at £1.75
Sunday: Bid on it
Monday: Win the auction for £1.75
Monday: Pay the £5.65 price because postage is double the cost of the actual CD.
Friday: Receive the CD
Friday: Try to remember how to rip the CD as it's been a couple of years since you last did it.
Friday: Enjoy the album that now resides on the mediaserver in your office.... that also desperately need a good clean as it's thick with DIY dust.

I realised that whilst I was listening to some Julian Cope this afternoon... I never had a rip of My Nation Underground.
So I had to go looking through my collection and found not only the original vinyl album from 88, but the Saint Julian album from around 86.
I also went looking online for a... erm... alternative copy. But cannot find anything complete and available.
So now I'm looking on auction sites to bid on a CD that I can rip to my mediaserver.
I can actually remember buying My Nation Underground from a little record shop on the corner of a street near where I worked, during my lunchtime. I went home, recorded it to cassette to listen to on my walkman on the journey to work the following day.
I've two big shelves about 1.2m long, filled with vinyl.
I need to get my lounge sorted so I can buy a new turntable and listen to some of them again.
