  2. @commonst @whoosh @EllenInEdmonton The prosecutors/crime/investigation #kdrama genres typically have little to no romance.

I loved #Stranger and #LongingForYou in this category.

Another action/revenge one that's quite ok is #MyName. However I have to admit that the fighting scenes aren't very credible.

If you want something different, always without romance, #Misaeng is a brilliant office drama.

  4. #kdrama #MyName #마이네임

A badass FL, brilliantly interpreted by #HanSoHee , tons of fighting and action scene and a short but touching romance with the gorgeous #AhnBohHyun in the role of the good cop.

    Good kisses this time 🫠!

Han So-hee is somehow peculiar among Korean actresses because she has this extremely calm voice. Her facial expressions are never exaggerated, however she successfully manage to convey emotions through her long pauses and stares.

  6. @Visteria
It is, reminding me of a Jackie Collins now :)
There's only so many sweet or fateful romances, repressed traumatised people and chaebol nonsense I can take.
I did enjoy #myname for a change but too violent for me.

  7. Just binged #myname on Nflix. Half with my hand over my eyes - brutal gorefest - but the FL was soooo good. And I needed to check my very early hunch as to whodunnit was right. It was :)
Back to funny romcoms for me.

  8. Finally watched #MyName #kdrama.

Really enjoyed it. Acting was really good, especially the female lead, Han So-hee. Fight scenes were cool, and overall story keeps you interested. Kinda left me wanting more though. 😄

  10. On Tuesday I started watching My Name, a short, 8 episode, Korean drama on Netflix.

The plot isn't particularly new but it is superbly acted, Han So-hee in particular is outstanding. I've only seen her before in 100 Days My Prince and boy is My Name different from that. There are excellent fight scenes, most of which are a bloody mess, and quite a few twists n turns to keep it intetesting.

I've just finished episode 5 and honestly as much as I want to watch the remaining 3 episodes now, I also don't want it to end. From what I can gather it wraps up in season 1 so there's no continuation and really, that would make sense.

What I really enjoy is each episode picks up exactly where the other ended, so it's perfect for cramming. As you.might have guessed, I'm enjoying it.

  11. I don’t know if it’s pissing or fascinating how people just can’t get my name right. It’s Kavuyi. KA-VU-YI.
I’ve heard Kabwe, Kabuyu, Kabuyi, Kavwi, Kavayi etc... The worst are the ones who ask me to pronounce it right and they still get it wrong after the umpteenth try.
99% of the time I let them keep pronouncing it as whatever they want so that I get whatever I need done quickly.
The best part? In emails they call me Mr....
