Hi! Call me Marsh or Zubat. I moved from another fedi instance last month to try out Sharkey. I have a personal account listed in my bio.

The stuff I talk about are fandoms I'm currently getting into or fandoms I just suddenly remember (some listed at the end of this post). If I get recommended something, I might not get around to it for a long while.

I'm a huge shipper. I might usually post about rarepairs, but I like a lot of relatively common ships too. If I remember something I used to be into, you can probably bet I'll remember some ship I had from it too. I have a good amount of polyamorous ships as well. Despite all this, I'm actually arospec (vague wording because I'm not sure which identity in the spectrum I actually am).

I wanna write fanfic! At the moment, I have a bunch of ideas that I've been messing with on-and-off for Pokemon, Skip and Loafer, Dungeon Meshi, Hilda, etc.

I'm interested in indieweb stuff as well, and maybe I'll try making a personal/fan site for myself (emphasis on "maybe").

My opinions on shipping discourse are a bit more complicated than pro or anti, but I'm leaning closer to anti. I think profic opinions sound too much like "free speech" activists. Think about the paradox of tolerance: you can drive people away from a space by being too permissive about what can be posted there. If you disagree with that, you probably should not follow me because I get carried away ranting about it sometimes.

I think I'd prefer my followers to be at least 20 years old just to give myself some leeway to be a bit crude on this account. I'm not super sure about having this limit higher than 18 because a lot of things I like have a lot of younger fans, but I'm going with it anyway.

Note: This account is bridged from graffitiwall.net using Bridgy Fed, which means that (as of this writing) I can't log into Bluesky itself, I can't interact with or block Bluesky accounts unless they are also bridged AFAIK, I can't set it so that only Bluesky users can view, I can't limit my replies, and I can't make starter packs or feeds. My posts might end up larger than the character limit, so you can click the original post link to see more. Posts that have content warnings on the fediverse just display as text inside [ ] at the beginning of the post. Unbridged Bluesky accounts can still follow me though!

I have reasons for staying on the fediverse instead of fully going here. If any Bluesky users in my fandoms are seeing this, I really wanna connect though.
